For too long, the Hunter's destiny has been decided by bureaucrats in Sydney. This has had disastrous consequences. But it doesn't have to be this way. We envision a bright and bold future where we decide our own destiny. This future is possible.
We are demanding that the state government:
- Hold a royal commission into the feasibility of a Hunter Valley state as soon as possible.
- Commit to holding a referendum on Hunter Valley statehood by 2030.
The Hunter Valley Statehood Movement is a grassroots campaign that is organising in communities across the valley to demand that our future is put into our hands. Our goal is to get 1,000 petition signatures to get the momentum rolling on Hunter statehood. Will you stand with us?
